A mesh banner has the same characteristics as a standard PVC banner, except that the material is perforated. This feature is crucial for durability in locations exposed to strong winds, as the tiny holes allow air to pass through, preventing the banner from tearing. Like solid PVC banners, mesh banners can also be welded together to create larger graphics.

Mesh is most commonly used on glass facades, where the perforations allow partial visibility from the inside. In addition to building facades, mesh banners are often used as advertising fences that provide both visual impact and practical protection. They are also popular for decorating and promoting outdoor areas such as café terraces, festivals, and carnivals, as well as for use as suspended street banners between light poles and similar installations.
